Starbucks Coffee Company

Have you ever wondered why some companies are more successful than others? I conducted a study and found that it depends on the correct strategy of entering the market. In addition, it depends on the ability of implement these strategies at the right time.

I have chosen Starbucks because I was always curious how did they achieve success. The mission statement of the company is:
"to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time."

Starbucks partners with the bookshops Barnes and Nobles. It was made to create in-house coffee stores. Starbucks distributes and sell the popular coffee-based drink, Frappacino. It was created with the participation of PepsiCo. Starbucks has chosen alliance strategy, Alliances are the new corporate generation owning by partners and functioning with the aim of sharing the risks and costs of the projects. Now the company has an incredible success worldwide. The company is maximising its strength in global markets now. Starbucks opens approximately 2,000 stores every year. Several years ago Starbucks has added an entirely different approach - the intense customisation of stores. Starbucks has ran 18 design studios around all over the world. Designers could visit the key international areas firsthand and design stores that include local culture.

For instance, customers tend to come to Starbucks in large number of people in China. Store designers have hold customers by adding more mobile furnishings that people can rebuild to sit along. Unlike with Americans, who tend to maintain fast service that helps them to get on with their day fast, the Chinese prefer to reside inside and relax for a long time. That is why Starbucks is building larger shops in China at the moment. Moreover, there are some additional flavors such as red bean Frappuccinos. It has been created to follow the local taste buds.
