Ford Mustang 3D-printed in Chocolate

3D printing is one of the hottest buzzwords in the news today and it's great to see more consumers learning about the technology and its applications.  As we all know Ford has never been away from innovation and technology. Ford has teamed up with 3D System to create tiny, chocolate versions of the new 2015 Mustang. Ford and 3D Systems have collaboratively combined to provide the latter the License to go ahead and create miniature versions of the new 2015 model of the all time favorite Ford Mustang.

3D Systems and Ford created the chocolaty confections as part of Valentine's Day-themed marketing for the 2015 Mustang, which was announced in December and will go on sale in late 2014.

Ford Mustang and chocolate is a recipe for success,” Ford product licensing manager Mark Bentley said in a statement. “It is so exciting to see how these technologies enable a new way of telling a brand story.”

I think Ford gets to go ahead and promote their new model Mustang 2015 through new innovation 3D modelling provided by 3D systems and promote them through chocolates into new market segments. Also 3D systems gets the reputation and trust of and pioneer like Ford to promote their technology and gaining easier access to new clients.

You won’t be able to munch on the chocolate 2015 Mustang yet,as this is just a one-time-only special. However, Ford says it could license the application for the Mustang candy so that fans can print chocolate Mustangs on their own.
